Head Coach and Owner Tim

I first discovered Crossfit whilst studying to be a personal trainer. I was put on placement at Crossfit Dunedin as part of my course requirements and I instantly fell in love. I loved the high intensity, I loved moving my body instead of sitting on machines and I loved working out with other people who were there for the same thing as me, results.
Once I had completed my diploma I knew that I wanted to start taking Crossfit classes, so I sat my level 1 trainer course in 2014 and have been coaching ever since. In that time I have continued to up skill and learn from the best in the world because I want to be one of the best in the world. I want to provide members with helpful information and coaching cues so I can help them become the best version of themselves. I firmly believe that through Crossfit we develop both physical and mental fortitude, and life itself becomes easier.
I love working at Crossfit Dunedin because all our members are friendly, caring, honest people who conduct themselves with integrity, and when I see them achieve something they couldn’t before it makes my day.
My favourite past time is relaxing with friends over a burger and or a beer.
My favourite piece of equipment is the Assault Bike (which I like to call the Devil’s Tricycle).
My favourite workout is Fran.

Coach Suz

My CrossFit journey started in 2009. After a long battle with my weight I decided it was time to invest in a personal trainer – BEST DECISION EVER!! He introduced me to the CrossFit methodology and I haven’t looked back. As soon as the first CrossFit box opened in Dunedin I had to join. Crossfit challenged me physically and mentally and the results changed who I am today in such a positive way. I represented Team CFD on an international level in 2012 and 2013 at the Pacific Regionals in Wollongong. I was living proof this process worked, and I wanted to share that with others. In 2012 I completed my CrossFit Level 1 cert and started coaching a new women’s only programme out of CrossFit Dunedin.

I’ve realised the joy and excitement I get from coaching far exceeds the joy I get as an athlete. To help someone achieve something they thought impossible or scary is the most rewarding part of my job. To help them move with more functionality and freedom is what keeps this job exciting. I want people to leave the gym knowing they can run with their kids, pick up their grandchildren and simply lead a healthier safer life.
